49ers Coach Mike Nolan's Press Confernce Notes and Quotes

  • The defensive players had "mental errors" on the  long passes that Brees connected on.
  • "Our offensive line can play better."
  • The Saints offense is similar to their own offense.
  • Has not spoken with Vernon Davis after his outburst on the field but he will.  "Vernon is an emotional player."
  • "Kentwan  Balmer is getting better."
  • "The vertical passes were the ones that got us in trouble."
  • Thought the defense did some outstanding things.
  •  Wanted to slow the game down so he used the challenge in the 3rd quarter on a six yard gain by the Saints.
  • Might  activate Tully Banta-Cain for the Patriots game
  • Doesn't plan on making any lineup changes.

D Wizzle's Week 4 NFL Predictions

49ers over Saints: The Saints have too many injuries to contend with the explosive 49ers offense. Without Marques Colston, Jeremy Shockey, and Jamar Nesbit, the Saints don't have a chance.
Look for Vernon Davis to have a career game today.

Titans over Vikings: Titans are too good on defense for the Vikings and Gus Ferrotte. Look for a lot of turnovers from the Vikings.

Browns over Bengals: Carson Palmer has an injured elbow and we might see his backup Ryan Fitzpatrick today. I'll take the Browns here with a healthy Derek Anderson.

Chargers over Raiders: This will be a big blowout. Too many injuries on  the Raiders defense will make this a laugher by halftime.

Panthers over Falcons: Michael Turner played great against the lowly Lions and Chiefs, but he will have a tough time today against the Panthers.  The Panthers win and go 3-1.

Cowboys over Redskins: This could be a closer game than most people think but the Cowboys are at home and will prevail.

Bills over Rams: The Bills won't suffer a letdown against the lowly Rams. The Rams might fire their coach after this game. The player don't like Scott Linehan and might not give their best effort in order to get him fired today.

Steelers over Ravens: This game will be very low-scoring and I'll take the home team.

Bucs over Packers: The Bucs are coming off a big win over Chicago and the  Packers are coming off a tough loss to Dallas.  I'll take the home team here again. The Packers won't get used to the humidity in  Florida.

Broncos over Chiefs: The Broncos are too good to lose to a 0-3 Chiefs team. The media is saying the Broncos D is bad but I think they are better than most people think.  They played the two top passing offenses in the NFL the last two weeks and that is why their defensive stats are poor. The numbers will improve after this game.

Jaguars over Texans: The Jags might have Jerry Porter for this game and the Texans might bench QB Matt Schaub if he plays poorly in the first half.

Bears over Eagles: The Bears D will show up today and shut down the Eagles offense.

Cardinals over Jets: This is the toughest game for me to pick this week. This game is so hard to call but I will take the road team here. The Jets played a tough Monday night game against the Chargers and had a short week. The Cardinals played in the East Coast last week and stayed there all week this week to prepare for the Jets.

NFC North Player of the Week: Minnesota CB Antoine WInfield

Winfield recovered a fumble and ran it in for a 18-yard TD to help the VIkings beat the Panthers 20-10.

Gore ran for 130 yards with one TD on 27 carries to help the 49ers beat the LIons 31-13.

Upset of the Week:  Miami 38 New England 13

No one figured that the Dolphins would beat the Patriots on the road. Great win for Miami.

Raiders Exec Confronts Local Writer - VIDEO

This is a funny video of San Jose Mercury News writer, Tim Kawakami, getting into a war of words with an Oakland Raiders executive. Check out the part when Kawakami puts his hand on the executive's arm. The Raiders are not big fans of Kawamkami's writing and reporting due to the fact that he talks about Lane Kiffin's potential firing almost daily in the San Jose Merc.

NFL Week 3 Picks

Giants over Bengals -  Going out on a limb I am not.  The Bengals will keep it closer than most expect though.

Falcons over Chiefs - The Chiefs are the worst team in the NFL right now. Michael Turner might get 200 yards again.

Bills over Raiders - This will be a blowout. Roscoe Parrish might get another punt return TD.

Titans over Texans - The Titans defense will lead the way for the Titans.

Cardinals over Redskins - Cardinals go 3-0.

Patriots over Dolphins -  This is a no-brainer.

Bears over Bucs - Bears win in their home opener with defense.

Panthers over Vikings - The Panthers get Steve Smith back and the Vikings can't score TDs.

Seahawks over Rams - Scott Linehan will be fired before the end of the season.

Lions over 49ers - This is a must-win for both teams. I will go with the road team here. 49ers will let down their fans once again.

Broncos over Saints - This is going to be one high-scoring game.

Eagles over Steelers -  Big Ben's shoulder is hurt and the Steelers are on the road two weeks in a row. Give the edge to the Eagles.

Jaguars over Colts -  I think the Jags will run all over the Colts defense today.

Browns over Ravens - This is a must-win for the Browns and I will take the better offensive team.

Packers over Cowboys - Aaron Rodgers will beat the Cowboys tonight. This game will be very high-scoring.  Dallas is still celebrating their Monday night  win over the Eagles.

Chargers over Jets -  Chargers are not going  0-3.

NFL Coaches In Danger of Being Fired

Here is a list of NFL coaches who risk getting fired unless their teams start to win some games and show improvement.

Romeo Crennel of the Browns -  Crennel's team is 0-2 and playing very poorly. This team looks like a one year wonder after having a great year last season, but starting off terribly in 2008.  Crennel has made some poor decisions managing the game last week against Pittsburgh.

Herman Edwards of the Chiefs - Another black coach on the firing line? Yes. Edwards has a bad team and he could be the one taking the fall. I don't think it is all his fault though as the QB situation is a mess. He should be fine this season but the Chiefs really need to get a real starting QB.

Lane Kiffin of the Raiders - Kiffin looks like he will be fired sooner than later. He doesn't get along with the owner, Al Davis, or the defensive coordinator, Rob Ryan. My sources tell me the players like Kiffin but don't care if he is fired either.

Brad Childress of the Vikings - The Vikings are 0-2 and don't have a legitimate starting QB. Childress was supposed to be an offensive guru but the Vikings have not had an explosive offense since he was hired.

Rod Marinelli of the Lions - Lions are also 0-2 and their defense stinks. Marinelli  is supposed to know defense but his team has given up over 30 points a game this year. This does not bold well for Marinelli.

Jon Gruden of the Bucs - This guy keeps hanging on as coach but for how long? Another bad season and the fans and ownership might want him out.

Scott Linehan of the Rams - Linehan might be the first coach fired in 2008. The Rams could be the worst team in the NFC. The players don't like him or respect him. He seems to have lost control of his team.

Mike Nolan of the 49ers - My guess is he will be fired right after the 49ers lose to Seattle on October 26. He should have been fired a long time ago.

Hottie of the Week: Former EliteXC Ring Girl Jamie Schake

Photobucket

D Wizzle is back with a new Hottie of the Week (HOW) and this time it is former EliteXC ring girl, Jamie Schake. Jamie is 21 and is currently living in Honolulu, Hawaii, but she also used to live in the San Francisco Bay Area.

You may have seen her in music videos, bikini contests, car shows, or as a ring girl at MMA events.

Photobucket

Photobucket

I've done lingerie, bikini modeling, and modeling in car shows. I've also done many bikini contests and usually always win!

Photobucket

Yes, I would pose nude  if it was for Playboy, Hustler, or  Penthouse, and if the pay was great!

Photobucket

Yes, my 34D boobies are real! (laughs)

Photobucket

Well, first of all, I like my men tall; perferably 6'0  or taller. The guy must be modest and a gentleman . He has to be able to have fun  anywhere, doing anything! Very spontanous, adventurous, and a little dangerous because I love to have fun!

Photobucket

Hawaii has nicer beaches than the Bay Area.  It's summer all year round here. Nobody goes 95 mph on the highway in Hawaii. No matter where you go, in 10 minutes you can be at a beach. I just love Hawaii way better.

Photobucket

Oh dear lord! I would have to say missionary. I know it's cliche, but it's just so damn comfortable and it lets the man take charge and I like that!

Photobucket

I like to go  to the beach a lot. I like to do anything  like relax, explore, hike, as long as it's in nature and not too many people are around. I also LOVE eating out. I don't eat meat , but i eat everything else!

Photobucket

Nobody ever guesses, but I am half Chinese, and Half German-Dutch. My mom was born in Hong Kong.

Photobucket

I loved being an EliteXC ring girl!  It was fun being in front of a huge crowd, and being a ring girl requires no thinking, except for  don't fall on your heels, and don't hold the ring card upside down! (laughs)

Photobucket

Yes, I kissed a few girls. I think girls are beautiful and sexy, but no, I don't really like kissing girls. They kiss too soft, and I kiss soft too so it doesn't really balance out. I like when a man kisses you because it's so agressive and  they take control and  it's so passionate.

49ers Coach Mike Nolan's Press Conference Notes: Week 2

  • Pleased with the way his team fought back and that it would pay dividends going forward.
  • Players got Tuesday off.
  • The defense brought five guys to blitz several times but they never got to the QB.
  • There were 7 passes by J.T. O'Sullivan over 20  yards.
  • Left Tackle Jonas Jennings was injured and came out due to a bad shoulder.
  • Doesn't know why Nate Clements got a penalty for celebrating the 86-yard TD by Patrick Willis.

Look out for the new HOW, Miss Jamie Schake, coming soon!

MMA Fighter Miesha Tate Grappling Video

You can see Miesha Tate's match starting  at the 2:22 mark of the video! Miesha is going to Switzerland and representing Team USA in December. Good luck to Miesha and Team USA!

D Wizzle's Week 2 NFL Awards

AFC East Player of the Week: Buffalo QB Trent Edwards

Edwards was 20-25 for 239 yards with one TD as the Bills defeated Jacksonville 20-16. This was a big win for the Bills on the road. Edwards was very steady and threw a TD pass to James Hardy to help the Bills take the lead in the fourth quarter.

AFC North Player of the Week: Pittsburgh Safety Troy Polamalu

Polamalu had four tackles and one key interception in the second quarter to help the Steelers defeat the Browns 10-6. The Browns were in FG position near the end of the first half when Polamalu got his interception.

AFC South Player of the Week: Tennessee QB Kerry Collins

Collins didn't make any key mistakes and led his team to a big win on the road over the Bengals. Collins was 14-21 for 128 yards with one TD pass.

AFC West Player of the Week: Denver WR Eddie Royal

Royal caught the TD and game-winning two-point conversion at the end of the fourth quarter to lead the Broncos to a huge 39-38 win over San Diego. Royal finished with five catches for  37 yards.

NFC East Player of the Week: Dallas WR Terrell Owens

Owens had two TD receptions to help the Cowboys beat the Eagles on Monday Night Football 41-37.

NFC North Player of the Week: Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers was 24-38 for 328 yards and three TDs as the Packers beat the Lions 48-25.

NFC South  Player of the Week: Carolina RB Jonathan Stewart

Stewart ran for two TDs as Carolina downed the Bears 20-17.

NFC West Player of the Week:  San Francisco LB Patrick Willis

If not for Willis' 86-yard interception return for a TD in the third quarter, the 49ers might be staring at an 0-2 record. The 49ers were down  20-13, and the Seahawks were driving deep in San Francisco territory when Willis caught a tipped ball and was able to run it all the way to the end zone.

Upset of the Week: Buffalo 20 Jacksonville 16

It is not easy to beat Jacksonville at home, but the Bills were able to do that. This is a big win for the 2-0 Bills.

D Wizzle's Week 3 NCAA Football Awards

ACC Player of the Week: North Carolina WR Brandon Tate

Tate wins this award again as he led the Tar Heels to a 44-12 win over Rutgers on the road. Tate had two TDs and 219 all-purpose yards.

Big 12 Player of the Week: Baylor QB Robert Griffin

Griffin ran for 217 yards and two TDs and also threw one TD to help Baylor beat Washington State 45-17.

Big East Player of the Week: Connecticut RB Donald Brown

Brown wins this award for the second week in a row as he ran for 206 yards and three TDs against Virginia.

Big 10 Player of the Week: Wisconsin RB P.J. Hill

Hill ran for 112 yards on 26 carries to lead the Badgers to a 13-10 win at Fresno State.

Conference USA Player of the Week: Texas Tech WR Michael Crabtree

Crabtree had eight catches for 164 yards with three TDs as Texas Tech whipped SMU 43-7.

MAC  Player of the Week: Buffalo WR Naaman Roosevelt

Roosevelt had eight catches for 132 yards against Temple. He caught a 35-yard pass with no time left in the fourth quarter to help Buffalo  win 30-28 over Temple.

Mountain West Player of the Week: UNLV DT Maio Taumua

Taumua blocked a 35-yard field goal  attempt by Arizona State in overtime to help UNLV upset the Sun Devils.

Pac-10 Player of the Week: Oregon CB Jairus Byrd

Oregon was down 20-6 to Purdue when Byrd caught a punt and returned it for a 87-yard TD. Byrd also played well on defense to help the Ducks come from behind to defeat the Boilermakers 32-26 in double overtime.

SEC Player of the Week: Auburn RB Ben Tate

Tate ran for 92 yards on  20 carries to help Auburn beat Mississippi State 3-2.

Sun Belt Player of the Week: Troy QB Jamie Hampton

Hampton was 26-37 for 323 yards with four TDs as Troy defeated Alcorn State 65-0.

WAC Player of the Week: San Jose State RB Yonus Davis

Davis ran for 143 yards with one TD as the Spartans defeated San Diego State 35-10.

Upset of the Week: Maryland 35  -27 over Cal

Cal was riding high after two big wins in the Pac-10 but they lose to Maryland on the road. It was a tough game for Cal as Maryland looked sloppy in their first two games, and Cal may have underestimated them. Cal also had to travel East for the game.

Week 2 NFL Predictions

Here are my predictions for Week 2.

Vikings vs. Colts
I like the Colts to take this one even though All Day Petersen will have over 150 yards rushing.

If the Colts get a big lead, the Vikings will be forced to pass to catch up.

Raiders vs. Chiefs
I like KC in this one.  Who will be fired first in the Bay Area? Kiffin or Nolan? It is never easy for a QB to play in Arrowhead and JaMarcus will make mistakes.

I was not impressed with McFadden in his first game against Denver. I was not impressed at all in preseason either. Justin Fargas  looks a lot better so far.

Titans vs. Bengals
Give me the Bengals at home. The only reason is because they are at home.

Saints vs. Redskins
Same as the previous pick. Redskins because it is their home opener and the Saints are missing Colston and three starters on D.

Packers vs. Lions
The Lions stunk up the Georgia Dome last week but rebound at home.  The Lions will probably not give up 34 points like they did last week against the Falcons.

Bears vs. Panthers
I like the Bears here with their imposing D and Matt Forte leading them to another road win.

Giants vs. Rams
The Giants will win by double digits.

Bills vs. Jaguars
Jaguars will win their home opener. Bills are too young and unproven to win in Jacksonville.

Falcons vs. Bucs
The Bucs will win this one with defense.

49ers vs. Seahawks
The Seahawks will blow out the 49ers at home. Look for TE John Carlson to have a nice game and a TD or two. J.T. O' Sullivan will be sacked a few times and throw a few picks.

Dolphins vs. Cardinals
This is an easy one. Cardinals will win this one at home. Dolphins start 0-2.

Pats vs. Jets
No Tom Brady but the Pats will still win with defense.

Chargers vs. Broncos
This is the Game of the Week for me. This should be a great game and I like Denver to pull the upset. Chargers go 0-2.

Steelers vs. Browns
The Browns will win at home.

Eagles vs. Cowboys
What a great MNF game. I like the Cowboys because the Eagles are still missing their starting WRs.
