This screw-up by the ref cost bettors millions of dollars while Vegas and bookies make a boatload of money on all the bettors who took Pittsburgh to cover over San Diego. The spread was Pittsburgh -4 or -5 depending on where you got your line at.
Some say the NFL and the refs are shady and this is another reason why people think so.

ReplyDeleteCan you spell SCAM!!
ReplyDeleteWhy do they not fine refs for incorrect calls? Especially when they come back the next day and say it was wrong. I say start fining the refs for these obvious scams.
This is a crime. People work hard and to have this happen with tough economic times, it is unfair and NO i did not have money on this game BUT I feel for all the pitt backers.
ReplyDeleteThis was a really bad call. The steelers should have won the game 18-10, expecting that they wouldve made the extra point after the touchdown. Yes they r required to try the PAT. Also the refs had money on the game for sure. when LT(i think) pitched the ball, it went back two yards (IT WASNT EVEN CLOSE TO GOING FORWARD!!!!!!!!!!).One hour after the game the ref apologized and said he blew it.WHAT IS THATTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i agree that the refs should be fined for making bad and unnecessary calls.
