There are about 40 games left for each team as we head towards the end of September and the regular season. Here is my analysis of the six divisional races.
NL WEST: Arizona is in first place but the Padres will be tough to hold off due to the Padres' superior starting pitching. Arizona has a young and talented roster but their youth and inexperience can hurt them during the stretch drive. Jake Peavy and Chris Young are two of the best pitchers in baseball while the Diamondbacks have Brandon Webb but not much else to instill fear in opposing lineups. Doug Davis has been pitching well and he needs to continue to do that since Randy Johnson is not available. OF Eric Byrnes is a joy to watch. I do not consider the Rockies as serious contenders at all but I can see the Dodgers still making a run at the top.
NL CENTRAL: A two team race between the Brewers and Cubs for most of the year, this division is now a 3 team race with the Cardinals joining the fray. The Cardinals are only 2.5 games back of first now after their sweep of the Brewers today. You can never count out Tony LaRussa. This manager is truly unconventional with his ways. He has his starting pitcher batting 8th in the lineup in every game. So far it has worked. Do not count the World Champs out. The Brewers have been in a slump ever since they lost their ace, Ben Sheets. He might be back at the end of August. Without him, the team has no stopper and have gone on many losing streaks. The Cubs need Alfonso Soriano and Aramis Ramirez back in the lineup for them to start winning again.
NL EAST: The Mets are in first place with the Braves and Phillies right behind them. The Braves have a great offensive team and can score almost 6 runs a night with their deep lineup. The problem with the Braves is their starting pitching. I don't think you can win a division with Lance Cormier and Buddy Carlyle making important starts. Although the Phillies are only a few games back, I think the East will come down to the Braves or the Mets. The Phillies just do not have enough starting pitching or a good bullpen to compete.
AL WEST: Two team race between the Angels and Mariners. The Mariners somehow are under the radar and winning with smokes and mirrors. Besides Ichiro, name one player on the roster. I foresee the Angels winning out and seriously giving any team in the playoffs a run for its money. The problem with the Angels is their lack of power as they do not hit many homers.
AL EAST: The Yankees were being counted out by almost everyone after the first few months of the season. Don't look now, but here comes the Bronx Bombers. They lead the American League in home runs and have a lot of offensive firepower thanks to Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Hideki Matsui, and Jorge Posada. Their bullpen has gotten better as well as their starting pitching. Red Sox Nation is now officially worried. I believe whoever does not come out of the AL East will win the Wild Card.
AL CENTRAL: Is this a 3 team race or a 2 team race? The Twins are 6 games back coming into today. Both the Tigers and Indians are in terrible slumps and have serious flaws. The Tigers did not make a trade before the trading deadline and never got a reliever they desperately needed to bolster their incompetant bullpen. You won't win games with Macey McBride or Zach Minor but you definitely will blow leads and games with those two. The Indians have their own problems as Travis Hafner has been out of the lineup due to injuries and their lineup has been stagnant. I doubt any team coming out of this division will make any noise in the playoffs.

Talking Sports with KNBR's Damon Bruce

D Wizzle is back again with another interview. This one is with the very funny Damon Bruce from KNBR. He is the host of the very popular Sportsphone 680 show weeknights from 7-10p.m. or after every Giants weeknight game. D.Bruce is also a proud graduate of Indiana University. Listeners enjoy his quick wit and funny remarks , along with his deep knowledge concerning the Giants and everything else sports related.
You and I disagree when it comes to fans leaving the ballpark right after Barry Bonds' last at bat of every home game. Why should they stay when the team's
play does not give them any reason to?
"I'm a bad fan because my team is lousy" ... you two really do deserve each other. I almost didn't participate in this based on your soccer mom approach to going to a game, but I continue.
Haha, that is the first time someone ever associated me with soccer moms. You always make your listeners laugh with your comments, especially when the Giants are playing bad. Do you try to be funny on purpose?
Funny never tries ... funny just is.
Do you think Indiana will have a winning record and make a bowl game this year?
Doubt it, but I got my fingers crossed, and believe we'll have some help from above. RIP Coach Hep!
How come you always get to interview cheerleaders and Warrior Girls?
Because they enjoy working with me as much as I enjoy working with them. Teams keep asking if I'd like a cheerleader in studio ... the answer is always yes.
Which team do you see winning the Big 10 this season?
Meeeeeeeeeshigan.
Many fans say Bud Selig is a disgrace to the sport while others say he is the one that has led baseball to record attendence figures and popularity along with
better revenue sharing and television contracts. What is your opinion on the commissioner?
If I were an owner, I'd care, but I'm a fan ... baseball is more important to me than profits ... he should be removed as commissioner and replaced with someone who's got a spine and some balls.
Be sure to listen to D.Bruce every weeknight on KNBR 680!

Anjelah Johnson Interview

Anjelah Johnson is a stand-up comedian and actress. You can see her on the new season of MADtv in the fall or live at the Improv in many cities across the country. In this interview I had with Anjelah, I asked her about the controversy surrounding her Vietnamese nail salon joke as well as how she got started in comedy.
Stand-Up Comedy Secrets
How did you get started as a stand-up comedian?
Someone asked me to take a stand up class... so i did... and here I am.
You will be at the Improv in a city called Brea. Where is this and is there anything to do there?
I'm not there yet... I'll arrive this evening so I'll let you know later.
What can people expect when they watch you at a club?
Funny words coming out of my mouth. Well maybe the words aren't so funny but the way I string them together is.
You made a joke about Vietnamese workers at nail salons which has made the rounds on Youtube. Some Asians feel that the joke was racist and they are sick and tired of racist jokes by non-Asians in the entertainment industry. Please give us your view on this particular joke and what you have to say to those critics?
My joke is my own true personal experience that just so happens to be relatable to 7 million people thus far. I'm not making fun...I'm telling a story. The best comedy is true comedy and sometimes for some people the truth hurts. I can mimic many accents. I am not racist, I'm just good at what I do.
What should we expect from you on MADtv?
Lots of funny stuff.
You used to be a Raiderette. Tell me how that experience was like.
It was super fun. A lot of hard work and not as glamorous as one would think behind the scenes but tons of fun. I miss it sometimes and then I remember the 7a.m. rehearsals every Saturday morning. (laughs)

How do you think the Raiders will do this year?
Hopefully better than last year... and the year before that! (laughs)
That's hilarious! You are from San Jose. Are you into the hyphy movement and getting dumb and ghostriding the whip?

Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco
I like to pretend that I am. I don't know how to "Go Dumb" but when I'm in LA, I pretend like I know what I'm talking about. Fo shizzle my nizzle sprinkle me mang. Do people still say that?
They sure do! Thanks for the interview. Anybody you would like to give a shoutout to?
Yo Yo Yo, I wanna give a shoutout to all my peeps out there, hustlin and makin it happen Yo Yo Yo, i'm about to bust a flow... Yo...no, I don't have any shout outs, but thanks!
Check out the very funny Anjelah Johnson at the Wild 94.9 Comedy Jam on August 25 if you live in the Bay Area.

Barry Zito is Garrrrrrrrrrbage
Barry Zito is the new Armando Benetiz to Giants fans. Giants fans are sick of him. Luckily for Zito, his last two pathetic home starts have been overshadowed by the other Barry on the team hitting home runs.. There was not even one mention of Zito's poor pitching performances the next day in the local papers. Zito should be very thankful that Bonds is on the team. Is Zito trying to be the Home Run King? I'm talking about giving up home runs not hitting them. He gave up 3 homers in his last start to the Nationals and if he keeps on doing that, he could earn the moniker of "Home Run King." As I walk around the ballpark and talk to fans, their biggest gripe is with Zito. I was sitting in the club level watching the game on the flat screen television as a concession stand cook walks by and looks up at the television. He screams out "Zito is garrrrrrrbage" to me as I laugh and nod my head in total agreement. The next inning I walk down to the lower level behind home plate as Zito gave up another homer. The fans got so angry they were spilling their beer while shaking their heads and yelling obscenities at the same time at Zito. The majority of fans do not like him but will have to deal with him for the next six years.
Any Zito apologist would try to defend him by saying he only gave up one run to the Dodgers last week and how he is coming around. Giving up one run to the Dodgers doesn't sound that great though when the Dodgers recently were held to ZERO runs in 3 consecutive games! Even the Giants can score a few runs from time to time without being shutout like that. When the Nationals came back and tied up the game last Tuesday, one fan said the only good thing about that was that Zito would not get a win since he didn't deserve it. Fans are truly disgusted by Zito's pitching all season.
Many fans are saying that Zito probably cares more about playing his guitar and learning about photography than actually trying to fix his pitching mechanics. You won't get an argument from me. When he is not shooting pictures or playing musical instruments, he is probably out looking for Marina chicks to date. This guy is truly pathetic. D Wizzle believes that the money has gotten to Zito's head and he is not as motivated as he was last year. The media refuses to state that possibility and also refuses to criticize him because Zito is such a great guy. He is a true friend of the media and always accomodating. Basically, he is the antithesis of Bonds when it comes to dealing with the press.
With his 83 mph fastball and a curveball that he cannot get command of, hitters are lining up to face Zito with pure ecstasy. They have no fear of him whatsoever. Batters can crowd the plate and not worry about a 98 mph fastball aimed at their head. Glenn Dickey, the San Francisco Examiner columnist, said that Zito is the worst free agent signing of all time and he may be right considering all the money the Giants are paying him. Billy Beane was smart in letting him walk away while the Mets GM, Omar Minaya, looks like a genius for refusing to trade OF Lastings Milledge to the A's last summer for Zito. Minaya also refused to kowtow to Scott Boras when Boras demanded a high salary for Zito.
Unfortunately for Giants fans, Brian Sabean took the bait and signed the pathetic pitcher for $126 million. The deal looks worst each time Zito is on the mound and when another 2006 free agent lefty, Ted Lilly, is getting paid $40 million and is 14-5 for the Cubs. Giants fans will continue to stay frustrated as Boras and Zito continue to laugh straight to the bank.

Recap of the Bill Walsh Public Memorial
D Wizzle was at the Bill Walsh public memorial service this morning at Monster Park. Mayor Gavin Newsom proclaimed the field at Monster Park to be "Bill Walsh Field" much to the delight of all the fans who attended. Most of the fans sat on the field in chairs while some sat in the stands. Speakers included Newsom, Senator Diane Feinstein, Carmen Policy, Eddie DeBartolo, Dennis Green, Dwight Hicks, Steve Young, Charlie Young, and Joe Montana.
A majority of the 49ers Faithful wore their red jerseys, hats, and shirts to the service. ESPN's Chris Berman, a longtime 49ers fan, was the host and introduced Newsom. Newsom had a short and nice speech and got loud cheers when he declared the field to be named after the legendary coach. Next up was the Glide Memorial Church Choir who performed "Amazing Grace." Charlie Young came up to the podium and had all of us close our eyes and bow our heads in prayer. Dennis Green was introduced and talked about how Walsh advocated the hiring of minority coaches and helped start a minority coaching program. The first two men that started in the program were Marvin Lewis ( Bengals coach) and Tyrone Willingham (University of Washington coach). Senator Diane Feinstein was next as she repeated her speech from yesterday's private service at Stanford. She told us the story of how the city was troubled by murders and suicides and AIDS but thanks to the 49ers winning the Super Bowl in 1981, the whole community got together and were united in a celebratory mood at the victory parade.
Carmen Policy also got up to the podium and shared many humorous stories such as the time when after a tough loss, DeBartolo smashed the vending machine. DeBartolo was about to go on a serious rant and lash out at Walsh when Ronnie Lott asked DeBartolo what was wrong and why he didn't have a quarter for the machine. Policy said Walsh will always be "The Man." Policy and DeBartolo got loud cheers as Berman called them Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. DeBartolo got many "Eddie" chants throughout the service. He told us to chant "Bill" as he started his speech and you could tell from his speech and expression how much he loved and admired Walsh. Dwight Hicks told the crowd about the love and respect all the players had for Bill and how he was more than a coach, but a great person.
Steve Young had a different speech from yesterday as today while Montana had about the same speech. Montana mentioned how he once threw a interception in a game and Walsh said to him "What the hell was that?" Montana said "That was a interception, Coach" which preceded Walsh to say "And yes it was a darn good one too but don't do it again!" Joe Cool said that Walsh kept his sense of humor even through his final days. The last time Montana visited Walsh at his home, Walsh asked him if he owed him any money. Montana replied with "No, I don't think so but I'll check." Montana capped off the speech by saying that Walsh would always tell his players he loved them and that the players all love him too. The service came to an end after that as all the former 49ers and coaches came up to the stage as Jerry Rice, Roger Craig, and Ronnie Lott held the 3 Super Bowl trophies from Walsh's era as head coach. Other notable 49ers that I saw on the stage included Harris Barton, Tom Holmoe, Brent Jones, Dwight Clark, and Steve Mariucci. The memorial lasted about a hour and a half. There was also a video tribute from NFL Films shown in the middle of the service. As some of the speakers had mentioned, this was a celebration of a great life and not a celebration of a passing. Bill Walsh will be remembered fondly forever by all his ex players, coaches, and the 49ers Faithful.

New Interviews Coming Soon
Look out for interviews with KNBR's Damon Bruce, a very funny guy, and comedian and ex Raiderette Anjelah Johnson.
Hottie of the Week Ashlie Lyn

D Wizzle's Hottie of the Week is model and MMA ring girl Ashlie Lyn. I met this hottie when she was out here in San Jose last December at the Strikeforce MMA event and we've been friends ever since. Check out this interview and learn more about Ashlie and also about the MMA scene in Louisiana!
How long have you been modeling?
I've been in modeling officially since June 2006, but I've always been a camera hog.
What is your ethnicity?

My mom is full Honduran and my father is a mix of Honduran, French, and Greek. Pretty hot combo, huh?
Definitely a hot combo!
You have been a ring girl for many mma events. Tell me about the experience.
My first ring girl experience was in June 2006 for UGC 3: Summer Showdown, Houma, Louisiana. At the time I was representing Hit Em Up Fightwear and wanted to expand my network in Louisiana, so I entered the Miss UGC 3 competition. The first place prize included cash and a spot to ring girl the fights the next night. So, I entered, won, ring girled, and became addicted! How could I not? I get the best seats in the house!!!

Secrets to Seducing Women!
How is the mma scene in New Orleans and Louisiana?
When I moved back to New Orleans in 2006, there was one main organization that I knew of. In the past year, mma in New Orleans has branched off into several fight promotions and productions. This is great for the fighters down here but difficult for me because a lot of the productions occur on the same night.
Who are your favorite mma fighters and why?
Anderson Silva, Josh Koscheck, Brandon Beast Brewer. I'm always entertained to the fullest. He's (Brewer) my reason for being in the business in the first place. He's opened the gateway to my involvement in the mma community.
I have much respect to fighters who can be cocky and arrogant because of their phenomenal skills but aren't.

What is the Cajun Spice Bikini Team and what do you guys do?

The CSBT is an organization of promotional models from all over Louisiana. We have girls from Shreveport all the way down to New Orleans. Some of the events we do include boat shows, bike shows, fights, golf tournaments, dinners, etc. We have positive attitudes and provide family friendly fun and entertainment, women and children included.
What do you like to do when you are not modeling?
I do have a big girl job during the week. When I'm not working, I'm home in my pj's lounging out or hanging out with family and friends. I love to dance but hate to shop... and sushi is ALWAYS a top option!!

What are your favorite exercises to stay in such great shape?
I do 45 minutes of moderate to heavy intensity intervals on the elliptical machine twice a week and 3 days of full body circuit toning.
What is the best part about living in New Orleans?
My family and friends are the only factors keeping me here. Without them and the great food, New Orleans is not for me. I'm from St. Bernard Parish...google it. Not much has changed since the storm. It's actually quite depressing down here.

How are the Saints going to do this year?
Who dat say they gonna beat dem SAINTS? Saints going all the way!!!

Interview with All ACC cornerback DeJuan Tribble
College football is almost here. Here is a interview with Boston College shutdown cornerback DeJuan Tribble. He had 7 interceptions last year and took 3 of them to the end zone. Tribble , a senior, is one of the best cornerbacks in the country and a candidate for the Thorpe Award which is given out to the top defensive back each year. He also made First Team All ACC in all the major college football magazine yearbooks. Look out for DeJuan Tribble this season as I expect him to cap off his Boston College career in fine style.
You guys played so many exciting and thrilling games that came down to the wire last season. What was the most memorable game for you?
Miami was my best game stat wise with 3 interceptions and a touchdown but my most memorable game was against Florida State down in Tallahassee. Playing in that stadium and winning a big game in that hostile crowd is something I will always remember.

Being from Cincinnati. are you a Bengals fan and how do you think they will do this year?
Yea, I've always been a Bengals fan growing up. I'm sure the offense will put up points as usual but the D should be much better than last year. I'm saying they go 11-5.
What presents more of a challenge to you? A receiver who is a speed demon or a receiver who is tall and lanky?
I will say a speed demon simply because it's tough getting good jams on faster and athletic guys. The taller and more lanky guy is usually easier to get more physical with.
You also played quarterback in high school and also was a punter. Do you ever want to go back to playing any of those positions?

I have no plans on that at all. I've been playing cornerback since I was 7 in Pop Warner football and that's all I can see myself ever playing although I do miss running the option a little in high school.
Do you have any pre game ritual?
I usually just listen to music and then do an individual prayer before I take the field.
What type of things do you like to do to get prepared for a game?
I usually get a lot of film work in before every game. Studying your opponent only makes the game a bit more easier. I like to get down some of the offensive tendencies and see how receivers look running routes.

What are your goals for this upcoming season?
I've put aside individual goals for this season. Usually I have a set number on how many picks I want to get each year. This year I'm more focused on bringing an ACC championship back to Boston.
What do you like to do when you are off the field?
I like to just go to movies or just kick it with my crew. If I'm home, I'm usually playing video games.
Who are your favorite rappers?
Lil wayne, Young Jeezy, T.I., Young Buck
What are your favorite tv shows?
Sportscenter, 106th and Park, Martin, and Bill Cosby
What players in the NFL do you look up to and why?
I like the game of Champ Bailey. He shuts half the field down by himself. Quaterbacks don't even look his way out of respect for his game.
Anybody you like to give a shoutout to?
To my mom Victoria Tribble and all my peoples in Cincinnati. And anyone who supports Boston College Football.

Barry Bonds is the new Home Run King
Last night, Barry Bonds hit his 756th homer of his career off Washington Nationals pitcher Mike Bacsik and he is now the new home run king. D Wizzle was there and will have some video footage of the celebration and the home run later on today. Congratulations to Barry Bonds!!
Fans were lining up at every souvenir stand to purchase pins, hats, t-shirts, programs, and anything else they could get their hands on. D Wizzle was in line in the club level while a woman with a gigantic chest and her nerdy little boyfriend attempted to cut in front of me. If they had stayed one minute longer in front of me, then the melee in the bleachers would be nothing compared to what I was about to unleash on those two lowlifes. Congratulations to Barry Bonds once again and also to the fan who got the ball!!!

Mariner Moose Tries to Kill Red Sox player Coco Crisp Video
Where is Lou Seal when you need him? You can hear the fans scream in horror in the 2nd video!
D Wizzle Wonders...
- What happens if Michael Vick is found innocent of all charges?
- When will Brady Quinn and JaMarcus Russell sign with their respective teams?
- How big of a celebration do the Giants have planned right after Barry Bonds hits his 756th homer?
- Why does it seem that people place dogs above human beings?
- Where are all the Yankees haters now that they are only six games back of Boston?
- Why is the media upset or surprise when Giants fans leave the ballpark immediately after Bonds leaves the game?
- Why do fans in Milwaukee think Bud Selig is such a great commissioner when he is the one that has presided over the steroids era?
- Why does Bud Selig even show up to watch Bonds when all he does is look like a man who is attending a funeral instead of a baseball game?

D Wizzle will be live at AtnT Park tonight
I will be there tonight for the Giants vs Nationals game. I will attempt to get some good video footage if Bonds hits #756.
Ten Questions with Rapper Jin
Learn How to make Hip Hop beats!
D Wizzle is back with another interview. This time it is with internationally known rapper, Jin. Jin is one of the greatest battle rappers of all time. D Wizzle does some rhyming himself but I am wise enough to never challenge Jin. He destroyed all competition on 106 and Park and the rest is history. He showed that he is more than just a freestyle battle rapper with his debut album, "The Rest Is History." Jin is now the veteran of five albums. His last album was entitled "ABC" and it was in Cantonese. This bilingual rapper is a pioneer for Asians in the hip hop industry and beloved by the Asian and hip hop community. After a few unsuccessful attempts to get a hold of him, D Wizzle finally reached the busy Jin and here is the interview.

How's it going Jin? Thanks for taking the time to answer a few questions. You recently were in Asia. How was it and what did you do there?
Things are great. I can't complain. I was recently in Shanghai for two months doing a residency at a club called BonBon. Basically, twice a week I would perform at that spot on their hip hop nights. It was a great experience.
People always assume that people in China are not into hip hop and that they never heard of Jin. What is your response to that?
That's odd. Most people I've encountered always assumed the exact opposite of what you just described.
Your last album "ABC" was in Cantonese. What a great concept. How well was it received from the Asian community?
Overall, it got some great feedback. More importantly, it was a wonderful experience for me putting that project together.

Some people on the internet were calling you an opportunist because you write songs about political and current events such as the Virginia Tech shootings, Rosie O' Donnell's racist comments, and now a song about Barack Obama. What is your response to that?
I love rhyming about everything. You can only rhyme about girls, cars, and money in so many ways.
You are a Miami Heat fan. What do you think they need to do to get back to the Finals?
I think with the last season, the injuries really set them back a bit... compared to the year before when they won the championship.

You are always out on tour and have visited many different parts of the world. What are your favorite cities to visit and why?
It's always fun going back to Asia... especially Hong Kong, simply because I know my family is originally from there. It gives me a "It's good to be home" vibe.
Anything funny or a good story you would like to share with your fans from your Asian trip?
In Shanghai and many parts of China actually, they are still using the no toilets public restrooms. That's never fun.
I'm in the Bay Area. What do you think of the hyphy movement and why it has not blown up nationwide like crunk music in the South has? I talk to people in New York and they have never heard of hyphy.
I've been in the Bay and witnessed the Hyphy movement first hand. I think more than anything else, it's a lifestyle and naturally it won't be an overnight thing to expect other regions to take on a whole lifestyle.

You are a pioneer but when will we see other Asians on MTV and BET? There's a lot of talented Asians out there but it seems like the people in charge are afraid of anything different and don't know how to market Asian artists.
I'm not sure if that's a question for me to answer. Artists and the communities need to take it upon themselves to make that difference.
What is next for Jin and when should we expect a new album?
I'm always working on something so everyone should expect a new project coming along soon. Obama in '08! Peace.

Interviews For This Week
Football season is approaching. D Wizzle got interviews with All ACC Cornerback from Boston College, DeJuan Tribble, rapper Jin, and a new Hottie of the Week Ashlie Lyn. These interviews will be posted throughout the week.
Insightful Interview with Barry Bonds
Here is a excellent interview with Barry Bonds. This is one great interview. I found Bonds to be very engaging and funny and extremely insightful. Mike Krukow and Duane Kiper did a great job.

SF Chronicle is full of lies and biased journalism
The San Francisco Chronicle and its writers have been deceiving their readers for a long time. It is time someone reports on this. A lot of readers have been writing to me and telling me how much they appreciate this website and how it was great to have a new voice in journalism and in the media. They are sick and tired of overweight old men who have no athletic bone in their body write about sports. Some readers here have said that the Chronicle is racist also but that is a matter for another time and place. Last week there was a article stating that tickets were sold out for the Marlins games and that tickets were going for over $500. I went to the Giants website and saw tickets for $10. Do not trust this kind of unethical journalism.
What I don't like about the writers in the Chronicle is how they always trash Barry Bonds. Bruce Jenkins is one of their columnists and if he got a penny for every time he insulted Bonds, he would be a billionaire. He continues to bash Bonds and tells the readers how the fans in San Francisco hate Barry and wish he was not on the team this year. Where are these fans you are talking about? When I go to the ballpark, all I see are over 43,000 adoring fans chanting his name and giving him a standing ovation. Maybe you are only one sitting down and booing Brucie. I have actual video footage on my site of the fans going wild for Barry's at bats. The only excuse I have for Mr.Jenkins is that maybe he is too busy at the buffet line in the press box to notice anything else going during the game.
Let's not forget about Gwen Knapp. I get the most hate mail about her. Here is one paragraph she wrote last night on the Chronicle website.
"The rest of Bonds' family -- wife Liz and daughters Aisha and Shikari, sat behind home plate, and he tried to offer kisses through the protective netting. Then he went to the dugout and walked straight to the far corner, where Sue Burns, widow of the team's longtime majority shareholder Harmon Burns, leaned in from a box seat and embraced Bonds."
Sorry Ms.Knapp but Shikari was not in the country yesterday night so how could she be behind home plate? Her constant lies and incorrect facts make Giants fans angry. I even had one fan at the game tell me that he cancelled his newspaper subscription because of what he called "racist and biased journalism." The fan, by the way, now subscribes to the San Jose Mercury News. To cover up Knapp's mistake about Bonds' daughter being at the game, Knapp cleverly rewrote her column later in the evening as I woke up to a new paragraph from her.
"His home-run trot brought him face-to-face with his son, Nikolai, who waited at the plate with his father's bat in hand. Bonds threw his arms around the lanky teenager, then lifted him off the ground, carrying him for several seconds in a one-armed hug as powerful as the swing that set up their celebration. Bonds' teammates waited in a line to congratulate him."
There was nothing about Shakiri in that paragraph as she changed it after I posted and complained about it on a popular Giants internet forum last night. San Francisco readers and Giants fans deserve better than having to read about how much of a jerk Barry Bonds is every single day.

Bud Selig is a coward and a jerk

Need I say more? MLB Commissioner Bud Selig is a lowlife loser and idiot. The man shows up to get face time on television thinking he is the real star and not Barry Bonds. ESPN cameras keep on showing him at the game last night as Barry hit his homer. When Bonds was rounding the bases and the fans were cheering and standing, Selig instead put his hands in his pockets. No applause whatsoever. Selig had nothing but a stoic reaction. The nerdy commissioner then issued a statement that was supposed to congratulate Bonds but the way it was worded was very sneaky and troublesome. Bonds is a classy individual and has always said kind words about Selig and how Selig was always good to his father, Bobby. Bonds invited Selig to come and talk to him as Selig has not once talked to Bonds even though he has shown up for most of the Giants' recent games. Giants fans prefer Selig to not show up because no one likes party poopers and losers. Sorry Bud, but you are the worst. If I was Bonds, I don't think I could control my anger at the haters. I have so much respect
for Bonds for taking the high road once again. Bonds is as classy as San Diego. The fans were great and showed their respect and admiration with a standing ovation when he hit the home run, when he walked to left field after the inning was over, and when he left the game for a pinch runner. I wish that Renel, the Giants stadium announcer, would introduce Selig at the game tomorrow. The fans would be booing him twice as loud as they do the Dodgers and the departed Armando Benetiz combined. Bud, you are
embarrassing yourself each time you speak out in public with your awkward look and idotic quotes. Do everyone a favor and step down and retire. It would be for the best. The only place where you should show your face is at Brewers games. Selig is the biggest disgrace in sports. Now " Let's Go Cubs!!!"

Friday Night MLB Recap and Analysis
The evening games in the West Coast have all just started as the games in the East Coast have all gone final.
The Mets won this afternoon in Chicago 6-2 as reliever Guillermo Mota got his first win of the year. Mota, who has been struggling ever since he came back from his steroids suspension, has pitched well his last few outings after a terrible beginning to his season. Carlos Zambrano was going for his 15th win of the season but failed.
The Yankees defeated the Royals as expected 7-1. Wang got the win. Is this guy a model of consistency or what? This guy is a joy to watch pitch.
In other important games, the struggling Tigers lost again. I told everyone that this team is in trouble and their freefall continued again tonight. Lefty rookie Andrew Miller gave up a grand slam to Juan Uribe and took the loss. Mark Buehrle got his 9th win. Buehrle is one of the best lefties in the league.
The Tigers did not have Gary Sheffield in the starting lineup once again as he is battling a shoulder injury.
In a irrelevant game, the Reds destroyed the Pirates 13-4. What has happened to Ian Snell? He was considered to be one of the more promising young pitchers in the league before his recent slide. I think it could be more mental than physical with Snell and the losing has gotten to him. The Pirates are going nowhere and obtaining Matt Morris probably won't help them in the standings.
The Brew Crew defeated the Phillies 2-1 in a great pitching dual between Kyle Kendrick and Yovani Gallardo. Gallardo is a phenom. He has made fans forget about Ben Sheets who is on the disabled list. Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun both had rbi singles. Francisco Cordero and Derrick Turnbow came in to shut out the Philies in the 8th and 9th innings. If you guys haven't seen the new ESPN magazine with Fielder on the cover, Fielder talks about his youth and how he hit a home run in Tiger Stadium when he was a chubby 12 year old boy. The article also mentioned that he has not talked to his father, Cecil, in three years. Braun is one of the better young hitters in the league right now. He plays a great third base too. Just ask Moises Alou, who got robbed of a hit a few days ago by Braun.

Get To Know R and B Group IBU
D Wizzle doesn't just know sports. He knows music too. Who was telling everyone about Nelly 3 months before he became a household name? Cash Money and Mannie Fresh?Master P? We can go on and on. D Wizzle that's who!!
Here is my interview with IBU. IBU is short for "Inspired by U." This R and B group consists of Tommy, Jonathan, and Mike. They are from the city that brought you R. Kelly and Twista, Chicago. These 3 guys can not only sing but they dance and write their own songs also. I caught up with IBU after they came back from Austin, Texas for a live performance. Expect big things from them in the future and hopefully you guys will support talented artists like IBU!! Check them out at http://www.youtube.com/user/IBUMUSIC or at their website http://www.ibumusic.com

You guys just did a live performance In Austin,Texas. Austin is known for its live music and shows. How was that and what did you think of Austin?
Mike: Our trip to Austin was a quick one. We spent less than 24 hours there. We just went there to do the live webcast and we didn't really get to go around. As soon as we got there and checked into our hotel, we rushed to sound check, and did the show. After the show and the little party for the cast and crew, we went back to the hotel, got 3 hours of sleep and flew back to Chicago.
What are your favorite places that you have visited so far while performing?
Jonathan: It all depends on how much time we spend in a place. New York was fun because it never sleeps, Tampa was exciting as we were able to go jet-skiing in nearby Clearwater, San Francisco was memorable as we did a New Year's Eve party at the Grand Hyatt, and yes, Des Moines! People are so friendly in Des Moines! The fans made it very memorable too!
Tell me about the struggles of being Asian American music artists in this industry.
Tommy: It's undeniable that the mainstream music industry still has to put an Asian American artist out there. The Chicago Tribune did a piece about that with us. Record labels are reluctant to try something new. But it's changing fast. Maybe in this decade it will happen. As far as we're concerned, we don't make that fact as a hindrance to us. We don't make it as an excuse not to try harder. We don't even think about it. We just continue to find ways to improve our singing and performances.
"I Can't Get Over You" by IBU
What music artists would you like to work with in the future?
Jonathan: Just about anyone in R&B and Urban music. Justin Timberlake, Usher, Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men. The list goes on!
I really like the song "Hard Life. Tell me how that song came about.
"HARD LIFE" Live Performance
Tommy: We did this song for a benefit concert we did for UNICEF, right after the Asian Tsunami. We wanted an appropriate song for the show. Inspiration for it actually comes from our own observation of things around us. Anyway, it was a memorable show. We shared the stage with Jennifer Hudson, Jordan Segundo and Jocelyn Enriquez.
You guys have a huge fan base in Chicago. Do the local radio stations show you guys love also? And what other cities are showing you guys love?
Jonathan: We don't know exactly where the concentration of our fans are. It seems like they're all over. Chicago on the other hand is our home base so they get to see us perform a lot. We had some radio play in Chicago but not that much. We were # 6 on Hot 97.7 in the bay and # 3 of the top 30 songs for the year in South Carolina. It's hard to keep track of these things.

Who are your favorite sports teams?
Tommy: We're from Chicago, so that would be The Bears, The Bulls, Chicago Cubs and of course the White Sox, who gave us the opportunity to sing before 42,000 people 12 times!
Wow, 12 times! That is very cool. How do you guys enjoy that experience?

Tommy: To sing in front of 40,000 plus people is always exciting and to hear the roar of a crowd that big after we sing is an unforgettable experience. One time, navy jets flew overhead after we sang, and one time the navy seals parachuted on the field. We've sang the National anthem 12 times since 2005 and we are always excited to go back.
Have you guys been able to meet any of the players? If so, how was it?
Mike: We meet them on the way to the field. They know us by now but things get very hectic just before a game so we don't really chat with them in length but on our second time, they had a short ceremony after we sang. A UPS truck went around the field and stopped by where we were and delivered a package to us and in it was a baseball. As soon as we opened it, Manager Guillen came up and signed the ball and all of it was shown on the big screen in the middle of the field.
I'm from San Francisco and we love Barry Bonds. What do you guys think of Bonds?
Mike: Not very familiar with Bonds. But we know he's about to become baseball's homerun king!
What are IBU's goals for the upcoming future?
Jonathan: Just take it a day at a time. Our music has become a business and we sometimes need to slow down on performances to take care of business and the creative side of being IBU. One thing for sure, there's alway something exciting happening to us. Not always in a big way, but exciting nonetheless. But in the long term, when we're no longer performing, we'd like to be able to pursue music as a business, maybe open up our own studio and help other aspiring artists.

Barry Zito and Lou Seal at Macys
Here is footage of Barry Zito and mascot Lou Seal at Macys a few months ago signing autographs. The fans were going crazy for Zito back then. The majority were women in their 40s and 50s for the most part and they were drooling over Zito. Chicks dig the long ball but they should not dig a 83mph slowball. I meant fastball.
