Invitation By Giants to Bonds Nothing But a PR Stunt

Instead of  signing Barry Bonds to be their left fielder for the final two months of the season, the Giants decided to send an invitation to Bonds to come to this Saturday's game against the Dodgers for a reunion of past Giants outfielders.

I believe there will be  a pre-game ceremony before the game to honor many of the former outfielders in San Francisco Giants history. Other former outfielders that reportedly were invited include Jack Clark, Jeffrey Leonard, Mike Felder, and Kevin Mitchell.

The invitation by the Giants was strictly a public relations move. The Giants organization does not care about Bonds. The only reason they are inviting him is because they want to  pretend to be the good guy in this situation.

When Bonds does not show up, the media will probably blast him again and make him out to be an ungrateful bad guy once again.

Why should Bonds show up? He is still trying to be an active player, and he is not retired like the rest of the other players that were invited.

Thanks to collusion by the owners, he might never be able to play baseball in America again. The home run king might have to go to Japan to play professional baseball.

If the Giants really wanted to show Bonds some gratitude, they would have resigned him for this season.

Instead, this pathetic organization decided to sign Aaron Rowand who has done nothing to help this team win. Sure, Rowand might be a "leader" in the clubhouse, but he is just an average player at best.

The team also decided to get rid of all but a few Bonds' banners and signs in the ballpark.

Barry Bonds deserves better. The Giants are stuck in fourth place in the  weak NL West and this publicity ploy by them is awfully pathetic and sad.

If any fans fall for this PR move and attend Saturday's game hoping to see Bonds,  then they are as stupid and pathetic as the 2008 Giants.

Giants Are Contenders in the Weak NL West

I have been the  biggest critic of the 2008 Giants. Most of my articles have been negative towards the team and rightfully so.

They got rid of my favorite player, Barry Bonds, and the management pretends he never existed or played for the team. They didn't sign Japanese stars OF Kosuke Fukudome or pitcher Hiroki Kuroda. I even hate the "gamer" commercials.

I called for this team to lose over 100 games this year. Expectations for this team was very low coming into the season.

This team is now 29-35 and won't lose 100 games. In fact, they are contenders in their division.

After sweeping the lowly Nationals last night, they are now only five games back of first-place Arizona. No team in the NL West seem to be able to ever take control of the division. The division race is always tight every year and comes down to the final week and days of the season.

The Padres, who were left for dead a few weeks ago, are now only 6.5 games back of first place.

The Padres and Dodgers start a series today while the struggling Diamondbacks have to face the Mets in New York.

The Giants face the Rockies in Colorado and have a very good chance to gain more ground in the division.

Although the Giants are not the most talented team, they play very hard and never quit. Their youth has contributed to their never-give-up attitude. Players such as John Bowker, Fred Lewis, and Travis Denker  all have had key hits in the last two weeks.

Their bullpen has been a strength and Keiichi Yabu has been a revelation. Yabu's ERA is now 2.00. The one weakness in the bullpen is Tyler Walker. Bruce Bochy insists on having Walker has the set-up man in the eight inning. Walker does not instill any confidence among Giants fans as he is prone to giving up key hits and runs at the wrong time.

Jonathan Sanchez has matured of late and is a good middle-of-the rotation starter for this team. Tim Lincecum is going to the All-Star Game and  Matt Cain is better than his 3-4 record. Even Barry Zito has pitched better in his last three outings.

The offense comes and goes which can be expected of a team without a power hitter or star. The youngsters are still learning and the veterans sometimes just don't have it on certain days.

I would love to see this team contend throughout the summer. It would definitely make things interesting out here in the Bay Area.

The Giants have proven they are not as bad as most people thought they would be. They are not going to lose 100 games as teams who lose that many games do not go on extended winning streaks. They are still under .500 but no team is going to run away with the division in the NL West.

GM Brian Sabean needs to make some bold moves and make this team better before the trade deadline.

I heard Bonds was still a free agent. If the Giants resign him, this team would be tough to pitch against. Unfortunately for Giants fans, the chances of him wearing orange and black again are not very good.

MLB News and Notes: 5/29

  • Jorge Campillo has been a revelation for the Braves. The former Mexican League pitcher has shut down the Mets, Diamondbacks, and the Brewers. After holding the Brewers to one run this afternoon, he lowered his ERA to 0.99. He has good command of his pitches and pitches backwards to hitters which might surprise hitters the first time they see him. It will be interesting to see if he can continue to be successful facing teams the second time around the league.
  • The Braves are 22-7 at home and only 6-18 on the road.
  • I think Brad Wilkerson was a good pickup by the Blue Jays. Why did the Mariners get rid of him? He struggled with them but the whole team is struggling offensively.
  • Eric Chavez finally returns to the A's starting lineup this afternoon and will make his 2008 debut. He was sidelined with a back injury.
  • A's starting pitcher Dana Eveland has a 0.94 ERA at home.
  • The Boston Red Sox are really struggling on the road. They got swept by Oakland and lost two of three to the Mariners. They head to Baltimore this weekend to face the Orioles. They have not been hitting on the road and ran into some solid pitching. Felix Hernandez and Erik Bedard both shut down the Red Sox.
  • Arizona is showing some kinks in its armor. Eric Byrnes is on the DL and Justin Upton is struggling at the plate. Brandon Webb and Dan Haren have lost their last few starts as well. They will try to avoid a sweep by the Giants tonight. Barry Zito will oppose Randy Johnson.
  • Arizona is 13-7 against lefties this year.
  • The Royals are on a 10 game losing streak. Their pathetic offense actually scored eight runs last night but their bullpen gave up five runs in the top of the ninth inning and lost the game in extra innings.
  • Jose Guillen called his teammates "babies" after the loss to the Twins.
  • The best pitching matchup today is in the afternoon when Eveland faces off against Jesse Litsch of Toronto. Litsch quietly has six wins already and a excellent 3.57 ERA.
  • Johnny Damon's infield hit last night against the Orioles in the ninth inning helped give the Yankees an important insurance run. The bases were loaded and Damon's two out single showed his hustle and speed out of the batter's box. It was an important hit by a savvy veteran.
  • Brad Penny starts for the Dodgers against the Mets tonight. Penny is 5-12 with a 6.21 ERA lifetime against the Mets.
  • Since OF Matt Diaz is on the DL and out for four to six weeks, why won't the Braves sign Barry Bonds?

10 Teams That Could Really Use Barry Bonds

It does not make sense that one of the greatest hitters of all time is not in uniform and on a Major League roster.

Barry Bonds should not be unemployed right now. Teams are scuffling and looking for ways to score. Star players like David Ortiz, Travis Hafner, Alfonso Soriano, and many others have been slumping all season.

Here are 10 teams in no particular order that need to sign Bonds immediately if they really care about winning.

1) San Diego Padres

This team is ranked last in the National League in many offensive categories. They have started Scott Hairston and Paul McAnulty in left field the last two games. Bonds would be a significant upgrade over those two. With Greg Maddux, Chris Young, and Jake Peavy, the Padres don't need a lot of offense, but Bonds would definitely get them over the hump and help them win a lot more games.

2) San Francisco Giants

The Giants should have never let Bonds go. They only have 18 HRs so far. The 2008 Giants are younger and faster, but Bonds would have been their power hitter who could deliver a few runs with one swing of the bat. It would also take pressure off all the youngsters with Bonds in the lineup.

3) New York Mets

The Mets will be in contention for the NL East crown, but it will be tough to win it without Bonds. He could help get them over the top. Carlos Delgado is no longer effective as a power hitter. Angel Pagan is no Bonds. Imagine a lineup with David Wright, Carlos Beltran, and Bonds in the middle of the lineup!

4) Chicago White Sox

The White Sox offense has struggled all year. They can't seem to score and power hitters like Jim Thome and Paul Konerko have low batting averages. The team as a whole is ranked dead last in batting average in the AL.

5) Cleveland Indians

This team had David Dellucci batting third in the lineup today and playing left field. Travis Hafner can do no right and is batting .215. The whole team has slumped all season and signing Bonds would be a big boost to their lineup.

6) Toronto Blue Jays

The Blue Jays cut Frank Thomas and need another big bat. The team is struggling even though it has had some outstanding starts from Roy Halladay, Shawn Marcum, and Dustin McGowan. The manager, John Gibbons, has no clue what to do and his job is in limbo. They think Adam Lind can help, but a veteran like Bonds would be more valuable right now.

7) New York Yankees

The Yankees’ lineup would be lethal with Bonds as their DH. Imagine a lineup with Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Hideki Matsui, and Bonds. Jason Giambi has given this team nothing all year and Jorge Posada is out with a shoulder injury.

8) Atlanta Braves

Gregor Blanco and Matt Diaz in left field? How about Bonds? The Braves would upgrade with Bonds as their new left fielder. The Braves would be more potent with Chipper Jones, Mark Teixeira, and Bonds. This team needs better starting pitching but another bat would help out too.

9) Seattle Mariners

The Mariners need help badly on offense. This team does not score enough to win. Bonds could be their DH and bat cleanup which would lessen the pressure on Adrian Beltre and Richie Sexson.

10) Detroit Tigers

The Tigers are not getting anything out of Jacque Jones but double-play balls that kill an inning or strikeouts. They could put Bonds in left field or as their DH. With Bonds, the Tigers won't have to worry as much about their porous bullpen.

SF Giants Are Ready for 100 Losses in 2008

The San Francisco Giants embarked on their journey to 100 plus losses by losing to the Dodgers yesterday 5-0. Brad Penny and three relievers shut out the pathetic Giants.

Barry Zito got the loss and his fastball was in the low to mid 80s. The only thing high about Zito is his ERA which is 7.20 after the horrid outing. Zito says his arm is fine and he is not injured. Could Zito have been using steroids and other drugs with the A's?
He used to pitch in the high 80s before but now has no velocity at all. He only struck out one batter all game.

If Zito cannot beat the Fresno Grizzlies, there was no chance he would beat the Dodgers yesterday afternoon. Zito had a tough outing against the Giants Triple A squad last week. Some fans are probably thinking the Giants dumped the wrong Barry.

There was nothing likeable about the game if you were a Giants fan. The pathetic lineup could do nothing right. I wonder how Matt Cain feels as he will be pitching tonight. If he doesn't pitch a perfect game, he probably has no shot of winning tonight.

Don't feel sorry for these unwatchable losers though. Zito and Aaron Rowand got big contracts and the weak economy won't hurt them as much as it hurts the fans. The Giants think their fans are dumb if they continue to watch the worst team in baseball play. It seems the only winners this year are Barry Bonds and KTVU. Bonds doesn't have to carry this team on his back anymore and KTVU doesn't hold the TV rights to Giants games anymore.

SF Giants Are Disrespecting Their Fans

Any Giants fan who renewed their season tickets for the 2008 season must be a gluten for punishment. This season hasn't even started yet as we are still in spring training, but the team is already showing many negative signs.

Injuries are mounting due to the veterans getting older, and the youngsters are underperforming as well.

The Giants are trying to trick the fans into thinking the team is full of hard-nosed gamers. They want you to believe that Kevin Frandsen and Daniel Ortmeier are hot young prospects who every team would covet. The reality is that if you want to see some real good young prospects who play hard, I suggest you check out the Oakland A's across the Bay.

Players such as first baseman Daric Burton and catcher Kurt Suzuki are top prospects who will play hard and have a lot of talent. GM Billy Beane is one of the best GMs in baseball and knows what he is doing by rebuilding with youngsters. The fans in the Easty Bay have great faith in him and their minor league clubs are stacked with potential superstars.

Can you say the same about GM Brian Sabean for the Giants? The Giants and Sabean are just deceiving the fans if they tell everyone that this team is better without Barry Bonds. Fans in San Francisco know how bad the offense was when Bonds was out of the lineup last year due to him taking a day off or having an injury. There won't be any difference this year.

Giants officials wished they had the All Star Game this year instead of last year. Barry Bonds was the main attraction in 2007 due to the home run chase. They also held their fans hostage by making fans purchase season tickets in order to be assured they would get All Star tickets. Many of the very same season ticket holders are now cancelling their season tickets. It appears that Aaron Rowand isn't the attraction and draw that Bonds was. Who would have believed that?

This team has the potential to lose 100 games. Every team in their division got better and improved during the offseason. Barry Zito is already rounding into regular season form. He gave up 8 runs today against the Royals and is now 0-3 this spring.

The Giants are having a horrible spring. They can't hit or pitch well enough to win games. Teams like the Yankees and Red Sox can lose every game during the exhibition season and no one would be worried. A weak team like the Giants need to win games in the spring in order to gain confidence and a winning attitude.

If Sabean was smart, he would have traded Noah Lowry last season. Lowry is now out until the end of April with an arm injury. He has absolutely no trade value at the moment. The Giants sure could have traded him to a team for a bat.

I suggest the Giants swallow their pride and resign Mr.Bonds. This would help their offense and also bring in fans to the ballpark. Unfortunately, I am not the GM or the owner of this downtrodden team. The best way for fans to show their displeasure will be by not attending games. Maybe after seeing many empty green seats will Peter Magowan realize what a big mistake he made in letting Bonds go and resigning Sabean to a contract extension.

Analysis of Thursday MLB Action

The Mets destroyed the Brewers as Chris Capuano took the loss again. Capuano is now 5-8 after starting the season 5-0 and has not won in about 11 starts since his last victory. Ray Ratto, the San Francisco Chronicle and sometimes national columnist had him as a All Star candidate. I told Ratto that Capuano is inconsistent and he disagreed. Well, the numbers do not lie just like Shakira's hips. Capuano has not won since May 5!

The Giants won as Barry Zito pitched a solid game as I thought he would. The reason is he has a lot of friends in LA and wanted to have a good showing plus he probably wanted to stick it to Dodger fan and ex girlfriend Alyssa MIlano as well. ZIto is not as bad as his 8-11 record just as Noah Lowry is not as good as his 12-7 record. I believe Bonds will not hit any home runs until next week at home. I will be there next week until he hits it. Watch for more footage next week right here!

The Yankees lost 13-9 at home to the White Sox. Roger Clemens got booed off the field. The Yankees scored 8 runs in th 2nd inning to tie up the score at 8 but the White Sox eventually won this slugfest. The Yankees play Kansas City all weekend so they should sweep the series.

In San Diego, Jake Peavy pitched a great game as the Padres won 11-0 over Arizona. Arizona is in first place in the West and will face the Dodgers this weekend. Giants face the Padres
starting tonight as Cain faces Maddux.

In Florida, the Marlins lost again to the Rockies 4-3. I heard that there were only about 3,000 fans at the game!

Those are the hightlights of yesterday's action.

Recap of Weekend at the Giants Games

D Wizzle was at 24 Willie Mays Plaza this weekend to watch Barry Bonds chase the home run record. The Giants had a dramatic come from behind win in the 9th inning on Saturday night and dropped a 8-5 decision on Sunday afternoon. Some of the members of the 1987 Giants team were in attendence on Saturday night to watch the game. I saw Atlee Hammaker signing autographs for a few fans outside the garlic fries stand. Yesterday I saw Dontrelle Willis's mother and other family members at the game. Dontrelle did his family proud on Saturday by pitching a great game but did not get the win due to Kelly Gregg blowing the save. Armando Benetiz made his first appearance at At&t Park since being traded and of course got loud boos. Benetiz was not rattled at all and got a inning ending double play to finish off the bottom of the 8th.

Friday night was Until There's A Cure Night. This promotion by the Giants is to raise AIDS awareness and is held once a year.I had never seen so many gays at a ballgame than this night. They were out in full force drinking and eating and enjoying the whole atmosphere. Most of them had never attended a game in their lives. I saw more gays this night than when the Giants had their LBGT (Lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender) night. A lot of the gay people were in cheerleading uniforms(http://www.cheersf.org).

There was a pre game reunion for the 1987 Giants roster on Sunday. Fans got to see and cheer old favorites such as Roger Craig, Dave Dravecky, Will Clark, Kevin Mitchell, and Jeffrey Leonard. It was great to see Randy Kutcher and Jim Gott again. Ok, maybe not but it sure was nice to see The Thrill and the Hack Man once again. There was a moment of silence for the two players that passed away from that team, Chris Brown and Jose Uribe. American Idol contestant Elliot Yamin sang the national anthem. I do not know who he is but some fan told me that he has a hit song on the radio currently. For some strange reason I do not expect the Giants to hold a reunion for the 2007 team in 20 years or have Ryan Klesko and Matt Morris bobblehead dolls.

The Giants were giving out bobbleheads of Matt Williams, Kevin Mitchell, Robby Thompson, and Will Clark on Sunday. I was in line early in the morning waiting with the hundreds of other fans to get my dolls. There was a lot of pushing and shoving by me and others as we got our dolls and ran back and forth through the exits and different gates in order to try and get a complete set. There was a lot of trading of dolls going on much to the dismay of the Giants' employees who ordered everyone to leave the area but no one seemed to listen. The games this weekend were not important in the whole scheme of things as both teams are not in playoff contention. What drew these big sellout crowds to the park? You guessed it, the man, the myth, the legend, Barry Bonds.

Barry Bonds is A Fraud

Barry Bonds is the worst steroids abuser in the history of baseball and maybe in all of sports. The man has cheated the fans of this great sport. His head got bigger. Need any more proof of steroid abuse than that? The man makes me sick to my stomach. How can those idiotic fans in San Francisco support such a jackass? All he does is inject steroids daily and hits monstrous home runs. America is laughing at you San Francisco. The fans in the Bay Area think Bonds is a hero. We are all repulsed by him and do not want him to break Hank Aaron's home run record. Why can't Bud Selig suspend him for life? Why can't he just break his arm and be lost for the season? He comes to the ballpark and insults all of us. He makes fun of ESPN's Pedro Gomez and tells him to take a hike. He calls my esteemed colleague Bob Costas a "little midget." How dare he call out the god of sports journalism? What a rude son of a bitch he is. Respected ballplayers and future Hall of Famers such as Curt Schilling, Andre Dawson, and Dale Murphy all have accused him of taking performance enhancing substances. I know Barry Bonds has used steroids because I read "The Game of Shadows." The proof is all in there I swear. When he started out playing in Pittsburgh, Barry was a skinny guy and now he is huge. Steroids for sure made him the player that he is and gave him that athletic physique. Steroids makes your eyesight get better and helps you recover from injuries. Steroids makes you hit home runs and throw a mean curveball. Even though I never bashed suspected or known steriod users like Ken Caminiti, Bret Boone, Brady Anderson or
Roger Clemens, this does not mean I am against Barry because he is black. This has absolutely nothing at all to do with racism and clearly not a black or white issue. Face it, Bonds is a fake and since the local reporters and columnists in the San Francisco Chronicle always tell me so. He is the rudest and worst teammate ever! This guy is the worst excuse for a human feeling ever in my opinion. Overall, Barry Bonds is the most disturbing figure in the history of sports and maybe mankind. I have clear evidence he uses steroids and human growth hormone. I might not have concrete proof but the evidence is plain to see. Screw you Barry and I hope you pay for all your evil sins.

How legitimate is that article I just wrote? I would have no journalstic integrity anymore if I meant anything I said in the above article. Fortunately I do not believe in anything that I had wrote. This is just a mere sampling of what fans and readers of local newspapers in the Bay Area and nationwide have to endure daily from reporters and columnists. Nothing but Bonds bashing. Respected journalists like Bob Costas should be ashamed of themselves. Hee accused Bonds of steroids and said he himself got to be 5'6 and 150 pounds naturally. As Bonds said after hearing that, how do we know that? It is easy and also a cheap shot to continue to harrass and insult Bonds just because you do not like him personally. 95% of those in the media loathe Barry because he treats them like 2nd class citizens. He refuses most interview requests since he does not like to be bothered and wants to focus on the game. The media takes his interview denials personally and the only way they can get even with him in their minds is to constantly write negative articles about him. The funny thing about all of this is Mr.Bonds does not care what you think of him or write about him. The man has very thick skin and only cares what his fans and family and the city of San Francisco think of him. Those people are important to Barry and thankfully they all fully support and love and adore him.

Thursday Night Update

RIP Skip Prosser, the Wake forest basketball coach. He died today and was only 56. I didn't know the man but from what I heard, he was a great guy and will be missed by his players and
assistant coaches and everyone else at Wake Forest University. I always enjoyed watching Prosser's teams play. If anyone has any Skip Prosser stories, please leave some comments.

Barry Bonds ripped Bob Costas again for accusing him of using banned substances. Curt Schilling ripped Bonds again after apologizing the first time he made negative comments about him.
Some people just never learn.

D Wizzle has been working hard and will have an interview with shutdown cornerback for the Boston College Eagles, DeJuan Tribble in the next few days.

Barry Bonds Tribute Video

D Wizzle's Ten Questions

1) If Tom Brady or Peyton Manning was accused of dogfighting, would NFL commish Roger Goodell ban them from training camp and would they suffer such a severe backlash by the media as Michael Vick has?

2) UFC 76 co main events are Shogun Rua vs Forrest Griffin and Chuck "Iceman" Liddell vs Keith "Dean of Mean" Jardine. Wouldn't you rather see Rua face Liddell and Jardine face Griffin?

3) How would San Francisco Giants fans react to Barry Bonds if he was a Dodger for the last 15 years instead of a Giant?

4) How much longer do we have to wait for football?

5) When will Barry Bonds hit #756?

6) Did you enjoy watching NBA commissioner David Stern squirm and stutter his way through his press conference yesterday morning?

7) Why does Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton always get into trouble with the law?

8) Barry Bonds ex mistress is going to dish out more dirt on Bonds and pose nude for Playboy. Do you really want to see a almost 40 year old woman nude? A young coed she is not.

9) Can anyone make a hit song without Akon and T-Pain on the track?

10) Does anyone believe UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk when he says he never took steroids in his life?

Why San Francisco Loves Barry Bonds

As the media continues to focus on Barry Bonds, many people have wondered why San Francisco fans embrace the controversial player. The answer is pretty simple. Barry Bonds is the greatest player of our time. Never have we seen a greater player with more talent and skill on the baseball field. San Francisco Giants fans have had the privilege to watch this man play for the past 15 years. Bonds brings excitement and energy to every ballpark he plays at. You can feel the energy and buzz each time he is at bat as fans clamor around to get a better view and take pictures. Bonds does not just hit home runs but he also played left field exceptionally when he was in his prime. He was the total package. Bonds very well could be more appreciated when he retires and get more respect than right now. In the meantime he is truly a marvel to watch. How many other hitters do you see that is in control of an bat even when the count is 0-2? Zero. The media will bash Bonds daily but the fans in San Francisco love him. The local paper here loves to have their columnists and reporters ridicule Bonds but the fans are smarter than that. They don't care what the media says. The fans show their respect and admiration for Bonds each time he steps to the plate. The ballpark janitor stops mopping the floors, the fans stop buying food at the concession stands and going to the bathrooms, and the ushers turn around and face the field. It is all eyes on Barry. The crowd goes wild and stand up in unison while chanting his name. But America has shunned Bonds. They have turned their backs on the soon to be home run king. He is roundly booed everywhere he goes. Little kids who don't know any better boo along with their fathers and mothers. I have seen a little boy hold asterisk signs while his dad belts out more vicious remarks to Barry in left field. Why? The baseball fans around the country have been brainwashed into thinking Bonds is a jerk. Who said Bonds is a jerk? How about 99.9% of the media? I hope my readers don't fall for the tactics of the media. The media hates Bonds because he does not grant many interviews and often has a surly attitude towards them. On the other hand, his peers respect and admire him. Great players like David Ortiz, Ryan Howard, John Smoltz, Alex Rodriguez, and Dontrelle Willis are all members of the Barry Bonds fan club. Trust me when I say that if Barry Bonds was on your team, you would be giving him a standing ovation and taking snapshots of his at bats every single day. Steroids or no steroids, Bonds is the best there is. Fans in Houston boo him vociferously when the Astros play the Giants. The very same fans who call noted steroid abuser Ken Caminiti a hero. Can we talk about hypocrisy? Bonds should not be the poster child for steroids. I almost forgot to mention all the pitchers that have gotten away with illegal substances and drugs. How many pitchers have we seen who went from having a 89 mph fastball to a 95 mph fastball? How many pitchers have had their shoulders and other body parts blown out and blame it on the wear and tear of throwing a baseball instead of admitting they injected steroids? Barry Bonds has brought excitement and joy to many baseball fans across America. It was wonderful how the fans voted him into the All Star game and how San Francisco gave him a rousing standing ovation when he was introduced. The man deserves it. You know that I will be one of the thousands of fans who will make it to 24 Willie Mays Plaza this week to watch him break Hank Aaron's record. We will be on our feet and cheering and supporting him the whole way. When I get old, I will tell my kids and grandkids about the greatest baseball player of my time and his name is Barry Lamar Bonds.

Worst Team in Baseball

The San Francisco Giants are the worst team in baseball. This team is pathetic and there is no hope for the near future unless you think Kevin Frandsen is the second coming of Ryne Sandberg or Freddie Lewis will be the next Ricky Henderson. What ever happened to Lance Niekro and Travis Ishikawa? Merkin Valdez anyone? Nothing is worst than a team that is not just bad but also utterly boring. This team is as exciting to watch as watching paint dry. Without Barry Bonds in the lineup, this team is a disaster. Ray Durham and Ryan Klesko batting cleanup instills fear among no pitcher. Matt Cain is 3-11 this season and the Giants bats stay quiet each time he is on the mound. What did he do to tick off all of the hitters? I suggest Cain go apologize and make amends for any transgressions or he might be looking at a 20 loss season. Name one Giant position player besides Bonds who you would pay to watch. You would have to be a sadist to want to watch Dave Roberts misjudge balls off the bat time after time in center field or seeing Ryan Klesko play first base. Losing teams like the Devil Rays and Royals have hope. The Devil Rays are one of the more exciting teams in baseball that no one knows about. B.J. Upton and Carl Crawford are a talented duo and pitcher Scott Kazmir is a ace in waiting. Royals fans see hope in Alex Gordon and Billy Butler. The Washington Nationals even have hope and everyone will rejoice when their new stadium debuts next season. What do Giants fans have to look forward to? How about six more years of Barry Zito?

All Star Game Picture +Music Slideshow

Slideshow of my pictures from July 10 MLB All Star Game.
Got some good shots of the Red Sox, Bonds, Ichiro, Lou Seal, Grady Sizemore, and Victor Martinez and son.
