Yves would have be murdered anyways! They need to give Josh a top ten lightweight to challenge his skills. Josh is on a winning streak and seems unstopable at the moment!

Thanks for the update. We already purchased our tickets and this is quite the disapontment but hopefully the other fights will be good. They should give us a discount now.

This sucks for Josh cuz I'm sure he wanted that six figure paycheck he would have gotten for defending his title( not including a win bonus)!! I'm sure Strikeforce got Yves to fight Josh cuz he was cheap (5,000) and people want to see a rematch. I dont think anyone cares much about Yves nowadays anyways. I dont think it was a fair match up to begin with. Josh definately needs to be handed a real opponent and not just a easy paycheck.

WOW! Strikeforce is in trouble now cuz Josh is what sell tickets in San Jose. People are gonna be angry and tickets arent gonna sell from now till the day of the fight. Bobby Southworth as main event?? Come on, honestly, do people actually care about Bobby Southworth? LOL He's an old fat old timer that will lose his belt to bablou...I would be my house on Babalou!!

5000 for Yves? Who pays for his flight from Florida to San Jo? They should have this fight in Yves's hometown of Houston instead of Josh's hometown. If I were Yves I would not fight and wait for Josh to get healthy and wait until next year for the belt. It's not fair to Yves. War Yves!!

Strikeforce is gonna eat it this time when it comes to ticket sales!!

Yves doesnt sell tickets and hes kinda pass his prime. If Yves was to fight in the UFC again..he'll probably ONLY get 2500 to show and another 2500 if he wins. His fan base isnt as big as Josh even in Houston or Florida (since he is now fighting out of Florida with American Top Team).
Strikeforce is based in Northern CA and only had events in the West Coast so highly unlikely to have an event out there anytime soon. Strikeforce is smart (and thats why they are probably the only other organization that is profiting other than the UFC) because they sign the biggest Bay Area MMA stars with huge fan bases. (Cung Le, Frank Shamrock, Gilbert Melendez,Josh Thomson, Danial Puder, etc..) They know they will sell tickets...I heard that a lot of these fighters also get a percentage of the gate because of their huge draw. Strikeforce doesnt need Pay Per View sales since they are shown on NBC(time delay) so their main concentration is to capitalize on sales at the gate.
