Ryan threw for 408 yards and 5 TDs against Wake Forest

ACC Defensive Player of the Week: Boston College CB DeJuan Tribble
Tribble was a ballhawk with 3 Interceptions.

Big East Offensive Player of the Week: Connecticut QB Tyler Lorenzen
Lorenzen threw for 298 yards and 2 TDS to help the Huskies beat Duke 45-14 on the road.

Big East Defensive Player of the Week: Cornerback Mike Mickens of Cincinnati
Mickens had 2 INTS and one for a TD as the Bearcats defeated SE Missouri State 59-3.

Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week: Missouri WR Jeremy Maclin
Jmac had a 25 yard TD catch and a 66 yard punt return for another TD to break the game open and give Missouri a 24 point lead in the 3rd quarter against Illinois. Missouri held on to win 40-34.

Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week: Colorado CB Terrence Wheatley
The senior CB intercepted a pass in the end zone against Colorado State in overtime. Colorado scored on their first offensive possession in overtime to win 31-28.

Big 10 Offensive Player of the Week:
Michigan State RB Jehuu Caulcrick
Caulcrick ran for 4 TDs as Michigan State destroyed UAB 55-18.

Big 10 Defensive Player of the Week: Missouri DB Cornelius Brown
Brown intercepted a pass with 51 seconds to go to preserve the victory for the Tigers over Illinois.

Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week: UCF RB Kevin Smith
Smith had 217 yards and 2 TDs as the Golden Knights upset North Carolina State 25-23.

Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week: UCF CB Joe Burnett
Burnett made an interception with 20 seconds left to preserve the victory over the Wolfpack.

Mid-American Offensive Player of the Week: Bowling Green QB Tyler Sheenan
Sheehan completed 34 passes for 388 yards with 2 TDs. He also caught a pass for a TD as the Falcons defeated Minnesota 32-31 in overtime.

Mid-American Defensive Player of the Week: Akron CB Reggie Corner
Corner had a 74-yard INT to help Akron beat Army 22-14.

Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week: BYU RB Harvey Unga
Unga had 2 TDs and 9 catches for 127 yards as BYU rolled over Arizona 20-7.

Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week: This one goes to the Wyoming Defense. They held Virginia to 110 total yards and only 7 yards rushing on the day as they upset Virginia 23-3.

Pac 10 Offensive Player of the Week: Washington RB Louis Rankin
Rankin ran for a career-high 147 yards with 3 TDS to help the Huskies blow out Syracuse 42-12.

Pac 10 Defensive Player of the Week: Cal LB Worrell Williams
Williams set the tone for the victory over Tennessee by scoring a touchdown on a fumble in the first quarter.

SEC Offensive Player of the Week: Auburn WR Gabe McKenzie
McKenzie only caught 4 passes for 42 yards in the victory over Kansas State but his 3-yard TD catch saved the Tigers from an upset.


SEC Defensive Player of the Week: Ole Miss CB Dustin Mouzon
Mouzon had one fumble recovery and 2 interceptions. Mouzon took one interception 99 yards for a TD as Ole Miss defeated Memphis 23-21.

Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week: Florida Atlantic QB Rusty Smith
Smith passed for 195 yards and 2 TDs as Florida Atlantic defeat Middle Tennessee State 27-14 in their home opener.

Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week: Florida Atlantic CB Corey Small
Small intercepted a Joe Craddock pass before halftime to allow the Owls to set up for a field goal before the half ended.

Upset of the Week: Applachian State over Michigan 34-32. Who saw that coming? Nobody!

Blowout of the Week: Oklahoma over North Texas 79-10. This game was a disaster from the start for new coach Todd Dodge and the Mean Green.
