D Wizzle's Week 2 NCAA Football Awards

ACC Player of the Week:  Georgia Tech RB Jonathan Dwyer

Dwyer ran for 108 yards and had a 43-yard TD run in the fourth quarter to help  Georgia Tech upset Boston College 19-16.

Big 12 Player of the Week: Texas A&M QB Jerrod Johnson

Johnson stepped in for an injured Stephen McGee and led the Aggies to a 28-22 win over New Mexico. Johnson threw 3 TDs in the win.

Big East Player of the Week: Connecticut RB Donald Brown

Brown ran for 214 yards on 36 carries to lead his team to a 12-9 overtime win over Temple. Brown scored the winning TD in overtime.

Big 10 Player of the Week: Michigan State RB Javon Ringer

Ringer ran for five TDs and 135 yards in a victory over Eastern Michigan 42-10.

Conference USA Player of the Week: Rice CB Chris Jammer

Jammer  lifted Rice to an upset win over Memphis  with a 69-yard INT for a TD with only 11 seconds left in the game.

MAC Player of the Week: Akron QB Chris Jacquemain 

Jacquemain threw for 260 yards and 3 TDs to help the Zips upset Syracuse 42-28.

Mountain West Player of the Week: BYU QB Max Hall

Hall was 30-41 for  338 yards with 3 TDs  as BYU defeated Washington on the road 28-27.

Pac-10 Player of the Week: Cal RB Jahvid Best

Best ran for 200 yards and 3 TDs as Cal crushed Washington State 6-3.

SEC Player of the Week: Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead

Snead threw for four TDs in a one point loss to  Wake Forest on the road.  Even though his team lost, Snead was very impressive.

Sun Belt Player of the Week: Middle Tennessee State QB Joe Craddock

Craddock led the Blue Raiders to a huge 24-14  upset over Maryland. Craddock threw for 256 yards and two TDs.

WAC Player of the Week: Hawaii QB Tyler Graunke

Graunke threw for 218 yards and three TDs to help Hawaii defeat Weber State 36-17 at home.
